Founder and CEO, Eximius Writing Services
Sahily Picon
Sahily Picon is a Florida-licensed attorney and the founder of Eximius Writing Services, a litigation support firm that researches and writes appellate briefs, motions, and legal memoranda for solo and small-firm litigators. She has been a member of The Florida Bar since 2009.
Background
Sahily earned her J.D. summa cum laude from Nova Southeastern University, graduating in the top 1% of her class. She began her career practicing civil litigation in South Florida, where she saw firsthand how much the outcome of a case depends on the quality of its research and writing.
She founded Eximius unofficially in 2012 (and made it official in 2014) to focus her practice entirely on that work. Since then, she has drafted and overseen motions, responses, memoranda, trial briefs, complaints, answers, and appellate briefs across every area of civil law, in all six of Florida’s District Courts of Appeal and the Florida Supreme Court. She has also written appeals and handled matters in federal court and in other states, including California, Maine, New York, and Georgia.
Why she does this work
Sahily has always needed to know why things are the way they are, and that curiosity drives her work. She digs into an issue until she reaches the bottom of it, then turns what she finds into arguments that are clear, organized, and persuasive. Many of the attorneys she works with have relied on her for years, not just for writing but as a sounding board on case strategy.
